I’m so excited for today’s opening of the Summer 2012 Olympics. If you know me at all, you know that I am a former sprinter and at one time in my life, I too dreamt of being an Olympian. My most vivid Olympics was the ‘92 games in Barcelona. I remember watching with a neighborhood friend and fellow track mate at my house, cheering on Carl Lewis as he crushed the World Record. The excitement, the accomplishment and the pride that goes along with watching the Olympics still brings a big smile to face. Now with the unveil of the Olympic Village and Medal Stand uniforms designed by NIKE, I am wishing more than ever that was me accepting that medal!
